National Recognition & Multiple Industry Awards

National Recognition at the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI)

Our Director of Operations, Mike Michalsky, is currently enrolled in the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI), a prestigious three-year program held at Indiana University that focuses on the business, strategy, and future of the auction industry.

While attending his second year, Mike was awarded the Pat Massart Award for Outstanding Auction Proposal, a highly competitive honor given to the top proposal in the program. Notably, only one award is presented, making this a standout achievement among auction professionals from across the country.

The CAI program brings together leading auctioneers to collaborate, share ideas, and explore emerging trends from advanced marketing strategies to the growing role of artificial intelligence in auctions.

“It has helped me build strong professional relationships and an extensive network within the auction community,” Mike shared. “Through these connections, I’ve gained exposure to different auction methods and asset classes, while also expanding my understanding of business intelligence and how AI is shaping our industry.”

Beyond the classroom, the experience directly impacts how we serve our clients.

“Each conversation I have with a classmate gives me a better understanding of how others approach the business,” Mike explained. “We all do things a little differently, and that opens the door to new ideas that ultimately benefit our clients.”

Land.com Land Star Award – Q1 2026 Top Producer

In addition to this individual recognition, Hurley Real Estate & Auctions has also been named a Land.com Land Star Award Top Producer for Q1 2026, placing us among the top-performing land brokers in the Northeast region.

The Land Star Awards program recognizes top brokers and agents in rural real estate, benchmarking performance based on actual closed transactions. Winners are selected based on key metrics such as total sales volume and total acreage sold.

In the Northeast region—which includes states like Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and beyond—the Hurley team was recognized among the top producers in:

    • Total Sales Volume
    • Total Acres Sold

This recognition places Hurley Real Estate & Auctions alongside some of the most respected names in land brokerage across the region and underscores our continued strength in rural and land real estate markets.
